Roadside Assistance

The Auto Assist (AA) roadside assistance network covers all of Thailand, and AA’s service fleet also provides services in Bangkok. In the northern provinces, a network of more than 700 service providers ensures that help is always close at hand.

Our promise to every Roadside Assistance member is that no matter where they are in Thailand, no matter what time of day it is, if they encounter a vehicle problem, we will quickly come to their assistance. We have invested time, money and effort into building a network of service providers to make sure that our promise is kept.

In the Greater Metropolitan Bangkok Area (GMBA) we operate a fleet of motorcycles and tow trucks, which patrol the capital 24x7. Our Mobile Technicians receive training from various car manufacturers and are skilled in identifying and resolving minor vehicle problems.

Vehicles with more serious problems are recovered by tow truck. Usually flatbed tow trucks will be used, but owing to the law that prevents 6-wheel vehicles from operating in Bangkok during restricted hours, smaller conventional tow trucks are used at these times. Each tow truck is fitted with supporting wheels, so that all 4 wheels of the vehicle being recovered are lifted off the ground during towing for safety purposes.

In upcountry provinces, Mondial Assistance has built a network of more than 900 service providers to ensure that we can quickly provide service anywhere in the country. Service Providers are graded according to the standard of equipment and the quality of service that they provide. The best performed suppliers attain “Exclusive” or “Preferred” supplier status and are given preference when organizing assistance for customers.

Mondial’s Technical Supervisors conduct face-to-face training with many service providers, and others regularly receive training programs on CD-ROM. A dedicated “Network team” have the full-time task of monitoring the Roadside Assistance network to make sure that the company’s service standards are respected. All Mondial Assistance Service Providers are issued with company uniforms, so are easily recognizable and respectably dressed when providing service.
